He also argues that the error only exists when using a Vivo chip in conjunction with high-precision GPS (the famous A-GPS, which uses the carrier’s antennas to facilitate the satellites’ localization process).

The solution? Configure the phone to use 2G networks when using applications that require A-GPS, since Motorola is still working on a way to get around this incompatibility. In addition, it is worth remembering that the problem also seems to affect gadgets of other companies – according to Marcelo, it was also possible to detect the same error in a HTC One M7 and in a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini.

TecMundo contacted Vivo to find out what the company has to say about it.
