One of the most popular photographs of all web sharing sites, Flickr arrived this weekend to mark 5 billion clicks stored on their servers. The announcement was made in a discrete post on the blog service, which also states that the service receives “more than three thousand pictures per minute.”
According to the company, the honor of the photo number 5 billion fell to an American user identified as yeoaaron the image below, which celebrated its done with the caption “I’m mr. 5 billion, nothing can stop me. ”
Founded in 2004 by husband Stewart Butterfield and Caterina Fake (ops) with the help of the Canadian company Ludicorp, Flickr was bought by Yahoo in 2005 and its main competitor Picasa googleano.
